·        Boudhanath Stupa

·        Kathmandu Durbar Square

The UNESCO World Heritage Site KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE is one of three squares in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley. Durbar Square (durbar translates to "palace" or "a prince's court") is an important location for Buddhist and Hindu rituals, holy ceremonies, royal events, and kingly coronations. Kathmandu Durbar Square, surrounded by fountains, ancient statues, small ponds, and a series of courtyards such as Mohan Chok and Sundari Chok, is a meditative, religious site for spiritual seekers.

Folklore claims that Prithvi Narayan Shah gathered spiritual abilities for unification after engaging in a rigorous "sadhana" or meditation at these particular hills. The significance of Chandragiri Hill stems from King Prithivi Narayan Shah's decision to unite Nepal. It was also a trading hub for Nepal's various regions prior to the country's unification. The location of the Prithivi Narayan Shah statue next to the temple emphasizes the sacredness of the land. This statue is also easily visible from where you exit the cable car ride, and it is the first stop for visitors as they ascend the hill. ·        Bhaleshwar Mahadev

Lord Shiva is one of the Hindu religion's three main gods. The Bhaleshwar Mahadev (temple) has long been used to worship Lord Shiva. The mandir on top of the hill is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it is said that: “Sati Devi, Shiva's first consort, gave her life at Daksha Prajapati's yagna after Daksha insulted Shiva in front of other deities. Enraged by Sridevi's death, Shiva walked across the world with her dead body on his back. Shiva's rage blinded him to the fact that Satidevi's decaying body was falling apart. Sridevi's body parts were scattered around the world. Later, pilgrimages were established at these locations. The Bhaleshwor Mahadev temple is thought to have been built at one of these locations, where Satidevi's brow ('Bhala') had fallen.”
