Jugal Himal is the nearest Himal that lies in the northeast part of Kathmandu valley. It is situated in the Sindhupalchowk District of Nepal at an altitude of 3800m high from sea level forming the border between Nepal and Tibet. On the way to Jugal Himal Trek, we can witness a fantastic landscape, mixed culture, monasteries, etc. Jugal Himal Trek is a marvelous trek through remote traditional Tamang villages and luxuriant forests. 

Jugal Himalaya region has high passes, superb mountain views, scenic villages, deep forests with beautiful Panch Pokhari (five lakes), and Bhairab Kunda Lake, a remarkable display of wildflowers, a large quantity of wildlife, and course friendly local people. Trek to Jugal Himal takes you to the heart of Langtang, Gaurishankar, and the Rolwaling Himalayan range. 

Lying near Kathmandu valley, the Jugal Himal trek is popular with enthusiastic trekkers all around the world. Ranging from 870m to 4050m, the trail envelopes from tropical forests to high alpine lakes. The route to the Jugal Himal trek weaves through the narrow path and forested ridges. But due to lack of lodges and other shelter facilities, only very few trekkers travel to Jugal Himal. The trek is more preferable to those who don't like meeting many tourists and spending time in crowded villages and best for those who want to experience the view of mesmerizing mountain ranges near Kathmandu valley.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport you will be met by Shivalaya Holidays staff and transported to your hotel, followed by a short briefing concerning your trek. In the evening we will provide a welcome dinner.

Day 2

Drive from Kathmandu to Chautara

It takes around 5 hours to drive from Kathmandu to Chautara which is 25km away from the valley. Chautara. Chautara is a large valley inhabited mainly by Tamang ethnic people.

Day 3

Trek from Chautara to Phurse

On the early 3rd day, we will have our breakfast and start heading towards Phurse from Chautara which will take approx 6 hours of walking and having lunch on the way, and will be spending our night at Phurse.

Day 4

Trek from Phurse to Kami Kharka

The next day, we will have our breakfast in the hotel and start our trek to Kami Kharka. It takes around 6 hours to reach Kami Kharka from Phurse. We will have our lunch on the way to Kami Kharka.

Day 5

Trek from Kami Kharka to Pauwa Bas

On the 5th day, our trek starts from Kami Kharka after having breakfast and we walk around 6 hours to reach Pauwa Bas which is at the height of 3063m, and spend overnight in Pauwa Bas.

Day 6

Trek from Pauwa Ba to Hille Bhanjyang

Early in the morning, we will have our breakfast at the hotel and start heading towards Hilley Bhanjyang from Pauwa Bas which takes around 7 hours of trek. We will have our lunch on the way to Hilley Bhanjyang.

Day 7

Trek from Hille Bhanjyang to Nasim Pati

The next day from Hilley Bhanjyang we will head towards Nasim Pati after having early morning breakfast and walk for around 5 hours and spend our night at Nasim Pati.

Day 8

Trek from Nasim Pati to Panch Pokhari

On the 8th day, we will walk toward the beautiful Panch Pokhari, five holy lakes at 4050m for around 5 hours from Nasim Pati, and spend our night at Panch Pokhari.

Day 9

Trek from Panch Pokhari to Nasim Pati

The next day, we will head back to Nasim Pati from the holy lake Panch Pokhari. The walk is 4 hours approx with a descending trail. And we will spend the night at Nasim Pati.

Day 10

Trek from Nasim Pati to Dukhang

On the 10th day, we will start heading towards Dukhang from Nasim Pati after having early morning breakfast. We will reach Dukhang after walking around 6 hours and have lunch on the way to Dukhang.

Day 11

Trek from Dukhang to Dhap

Early in the morning, we will have our breakfast and start our trek from Dukhang to Dhap. We will walk around 5 hours and have lunch on the way and reach Dhap and stay overnight.

Day 12

Trek from Dhap to Melamchi bridge Bazar and drive back to kathmandu

The next day, we will start our trek early in the morning after having breakfast. We will start our trek from Dhap and reach Melamchi Bridge Bazar after walking for six hours and have lunch in between and drive back to Kathmandu.
