Annapurna base camp trek is the most popular on the whole earth. Considered to be the 10th highest mountain in the world, Mount Annapurna (8091m) and the way to its base are 4130m and the entire journey is an astonishing walk through a varied landscape which is rich in its serene mountain views, terraced fields, wide ranges of floral and faunal species, and the beautiful Gurung village. Best time to go for Annapurna Base Camp

Since Annapurna Base Camp lies in the Himalaya Range it is better to travel during Spring and Autumn season which is from March to May and September to late November. During summer, due to rainfall, it is not appropriate to travel whereas during winter, due to dropping of temperature and snowfall, it won’t be easy to do treks.

Day 1

Trek to Siwai and drive to Pokhara

After having breakfast we will be heading towards Siwai where our local jeep will be waiting for us to take us back to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 2

Trek to Jihu- Nayapul

So we will be trekking down today, from bamboo after walking for around 30 minutes we will be and reach pleasant jungle walk to Sinuwa then head back to Chumrung Khola and ascend towards the upper Chhomrung and then descend towards Jihu- Nayapul after walking approximately 7 to 8 hours from Dovan.

Day 3

Trek down to Dovan or Bamboo

After enjoying the stunning view of beautiful white mountains, we will have our breakfast and leave ABC and start descending towards Dovan or Bamboo via MBC, Deurali, and Himalaya and reach Dovan or Bamboo approximately walking for 7 hours.

Day 4

Trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp)

The trail starts to get less steep after crossing the Deurali. Today we will be going through the place where people were killed due to an avalanche a decade ago and we will continue walking till we don’t reach the safe place. The closer we start getting to the base camp, the more we start visualizing the beautiful panoramic view of white mountains like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and several other peaks. It takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach ABC from Deurali.

Day 5

Trek to Deurali

From Dovan, we will be starting our trek to Deurali early in the morning and walking through the path of rhododendron forest with the beautiful panoramic view of mountains and reaching Deurali after walking for 6 hours.

Day 6

Trek to Dovan

After having breakfast we will be leaving Chhomrong to Dovan, the trail goes through thousands of stone stairs and then cross Chhomrong Khola to climb up to Sinuwa. The path goes through a beautiful rhododendron forest filled with orchids and ferns then steep down with stone stairs to Bamboo and reach Dovan which takes approximately 6 to 7 hours walking.

Day 7

Trek to Chhomrong

We will be starting our trek today after having an early morning breakfast from Tadapani to Chhomrong. The trail starts from descending downhill through the terraced field to Kumrung Khola, crosses the suspension bridge, and walks to Gurung village from where the trail starts to ascend. It takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach Chhomrong.

Day 8

Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

Today we will be going for the hike to Poon Hill for early sunrise and panoramic view of the Himalayas and it takes around 45 minutes to reach the top and after that descend back to the hotel and then continue todays’ trek to Tadapani.

Day 9

Trek to Deurali

After having early morning breakfast we will be starting our trek from Ulleri to Deurali. We will be crossing the stone steps for a while and walking through magnificent rhododendron and oak forests. It takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach Ghorepani Deurali.

Day 10

Fly to Pokhara and trek to Ulleri

We will take an early morning flight and fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu and from Pokhara we will start our trek to Ulleri which takes 4 to 5 hours and stay overnight at Ulleri.

Day 11

Arrival in Kathmandu

We will arrive in Kathmandu and do some sightseeing the same day. We will also start packing our stuff for a trek starting the next day.

Day 12

Fly or drive back to Kathmandu

Head towards Kathmandu for final departure.
