Momo is not just a food in Nepal its an emotion. Each and every place of Nepal we can found am new taste of Momo. Momo can be eaten as lunch or dinner it is a heavy food.  It is made up of Maida with various type of filling inside it. Momo are discovered in Nepal as momocha later it became momo. There are varieties of Momo found in Nepal. This dish is modified according to the taste of peoples of Nepal. Momos are the Nepali version of dumplings It is steamed or fried.

1. Steam momo. 

Steam Momo is found in every corner of Nepal. Steam momo is the basic momo which is made all over Nepal. It has also many different taste according to its filling inside it like, Chicken, buff, mutton, veg and many more it differ according to taste of people. Steam momo mean the momo which are steamed under water. 

2. Fried momo

Fried Momo is also a basic momo found in every corner of Nepal. This momo is deep fried inside the oil. It also has many different tastes according to its filling inside it like, Chicken, buff, mutton, veg and many more it differ according to taste of people.

3. Kothe momo

Kothe Momos are the popular momo of Nepal wrapped in elongated shape. These momoes are half steamed and half fried in pan immediately. This momo can be in different filling like buff, chicken, veg and many other according to the preference of eater. 

4. Chilly momo

Chilly momo is momo which is like chicken chilly. It is the best for those people who love spicy and hot food. This momo are consider as C momo in which C is considered as Chilly. This momo can be in different fillings like buff, chicken, veg and many other according to the preference of eater.

5. Sadeko momo

Sadeko momo is a typical Nepali style momo. The flavor of momo is tangy, spicy and hot. This momo is best for Spicy lovers. This momo his mad by mixing lemon and other spices in the steam momo. 

6. Soup momo

Soup momo is basically a steam momo it can be found in every restaurant in Nepal.  This momo is served with hot soup on momo. This momo is best for the winter seasons. This momo can be in different filling like buff, chicken, veg and many other according to the preference of person.

7. Green momo.

Green momo is a new concept of momo. It is also consider as a healthy momo because it is wrapped with gren vegetable leaf. Green momo can also be found in many fillings like Buff, Chicken, Mutton. This is also steamed under water. 

8. Cheese momo.

This momo is named so for the feeling inside momo. This momo is steamed for few minutes and the momo get fluffy and ready to eat. This is served with 2 ketchup tomato and chilly.

9. Tandoori Momo

Tandoori momo is the best for the people who love smoky flavor in their food. Momo is prepared in Clay oven (tandoor) so it is named tandoori momo. These momoes are also prepared in various filling like Buff, Veg, Chicken, Mutton and many more according to your preference.  

10. Open momo

Open momo is the new variety of momo. It is similar to steam momo, but it is not fully covered by the dough. It’s served with the ketchup like tomato and chilly. These momos are also prepared in various filling like Buff, Veg, Chicken, Mutton and many more according to your preference.
