Newari Culture. 

Newari Culture is the one of the oldest cultures all over the world. Newari culture is a one of the unique cultures if Nepal. This culture is followed by the Newar peoples of Nepal. There are two religions in Newar community they are Hinduism and Buddhism. Newar people have their own language called Nepa Bhasa. Newar’s have continued their age-old traditions and practices. This contribution toward there culture pride themselves as the true custodians of the religion, culture, and civilization of Nepal. Lord Siddhartha Gautam buddha was also Newar from Shakya family. 

Newar cultures are found all over the Nepal but there are mainly 3 cities we can see the true culture they are Bhaktapur, Kathmandu and Lalitpur. We can see Newari culture and traditional over these cities. There is a different style of houses of Newari peoples which have different architecture its unique from other culture. The windows and doors are mad in different ways with lots of wood crafting with God and goddess. 

In Newari cities like Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur we can see many cultural places. Ancient Newari peoples makes a wood crafting in many things like Falcha, temple, and walls which gives knowledge about sex education. 

Mostly Newari peoples are engaged in their own work rather than doing job. There are many casts in Newar like Manandhar, Chauguthi, Ranjit, Sahi and many more they have their own work according to their cast like Manandhar make mustard oil Shakya sales gold and silver ornaments. There are many historical sites in Newari city like Changunarayan one of the oldest city durbar squares and many more.  

In Newari culture we have lots of festival which have its own importance like Gijatra which shows that we must not be upset for a long time if anyone is death. Gathamaga jatra indicates that the devil is no more the new life begin. Dashain indicates as the season of harvesting and joy of new grains and reviving of nawadurga. Tihar indicates as the festival of lights and happiness where we wordship dog, crow, and cow. In Tihar there is a new year called Nepal Sambat which is the official year of Newari peoples. Yomori purnima is celebrated as worshipping the first food of the year. Bisket jatra is celebrated as the beginning of life. 

Newari peoples have their own cuisines like Baji, Kachila, choila, Sapumicha, Talka, Sanakhuwa, Dakala, Takola, Cho hi, and many more. There are sone seasonal food like takha and sanakhuwa which can only be made on winter season. There are some hard drinks like thoo (Rice beer), takutho, hang tho, aaila (alcohol) and many more.
