GORKHA – BANDIPUR - POKHARA TOUR

Bandipur is short drive from Gorkha. This is a cultural and heritage hill village in the backdrop of Mt. Annapurna-Manaslu with the famous Machhapuchare the Fish Tail peaks. Moreover, a short drive takes you to scenic Pokhara city located on a green valley enclosed within green hills after a pleasant moment and overnight in Bandipur. However, the high massive mountain range of Annapurna Himalaya reflects on calm Phewa Lake.

Itinerary: 

Day 01: Drive to Gorkha Hilltown Approx 3-4 hrs journeys.

The journey starts early in the morning from pokhara. Gorkha is located on mid-hills a historical town of old Shah Dynasty palace that towers above the town of Gorkha, from where King Prithvi Narayan Shah started the conquest of the country's different smaller kingdoms and unified into a single nation into one Nepal. 

Day 02: Tour of Gorkha historical fort palace and drive to Bandipur Approx 03 hrs.

Early morning after breakfast visit the fort palace stands a thousand feet above Gorkha Bazaar; the palace dominates the surrounding and is visible from all around the area. It is worthwhile walking up the stairs for the view  Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the palace premises.

Later, a short drive takes you further west with uphill to reach Bandipur town-village after the tour of Gorkha fort and interesting bazaar of the town. Bandipur offers varieties of attractions including sunrise and sunset from Tundikhel Hill and Gurungche Hill with a diversity of flora and fauna with more than 200 species of forest plants, 70 species of birds, 35 species of wildlife.

Visit Siddha cave the largest cave in Asia which is 18 ft width and 50 ft high, situated north of Bandipur, another mysterious cave called “Patalidwar” which holds religious significance for the locals. Similarly, for the adventure lovers there is rock climbing on high rocky steeps with delightful eco and scenic walk.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara and transfer to hotel by the lakeside Approx 02 hrs.

After a pleasant stay at Bandipur next day after having breakfast short drive to Pokhara city.

Day 04: Morning short drive to Sarankot 1,460 m and tour of Pokhara.

Early morning drive to Sarankot hilltop for experiencing stunning sunrise views over a wide range of mountains from Dhaulagiri-Annapurna to Mt. Manaslu . After an enjoyable time back to the hotel after breakfast till late afternoon tour of Seti Gorge, Davids / Devi or Pathle Chhago Waterfalls- visit Peace Stupa and around Pokhara local markets away from main touristic area.   

Day 05: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu Approx 6 hrs journey and 40 minutes by air. 

Early morning after breakfast, leaving from the hotel in Pokhara and driving to Kathmandu, the drive takes you on the same interesting highway to Kathmandu and then back to your respective hotels, with afternoon free to enjoy your activities and shopping.
