The holiest peak in Asia is Mt. Kailash. The peak has a height of 6714m above sea level. It is thought to be the physical manifestation of the mythological Mt Meru, which is claimed to be the 'navel of the globe' or the center of the universe. However, Mt. Meru is often portrayed as a mandala, and its image can be seen in Buddhist and Hindu art throughout Asia. Mt Kailas is sacred to four different religions. Kailash is Shiva's dwelling for Hindus while neighboring Mansarovar Lake represents Brahma's means or spirit. Kailas Kang Rimpoche is how Tibetans refer to him. Moreover, Mt Ashtapada is revered by Jains as the peak where the religion's founder. Similarly, Rishabanatha, attained spiritual emancipation. Kailash is revered as the spirit of Tibet by followers of Bon-Po, Tibet's old pre-Buddhist shamanistic religion. 

Moreover, Lhasa - Kathmandu Tibet is easier to reach for visitors who have more than two weeks to spend in the Ali Goge Kingdom in western Tibet. However, before five years it9was a little more difficult to travel the friendship route between Nepal and Tibet. Since the road has now been completed and is in good condition the travel became easy and fast. However, you must fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa one way or return from Lhasa to Kathmandu which makes your travel comfortable. 

Additionally, famous sakyapa and Mingmapa Buddhist monasteries may be found in Lhasa. Among these was the Potala Palace, a very historic structure where the Dalai Lamas spent their 14th reincarnation. Since 1954, it has served as a museum for the residents when the palace was politically evacuated by the People's Republic of China. Moreover, since 1989, Tibet Tourism Board has been in operation, and it is now fully open to western visitors. Additionally, the most well-known and oldest structures are Shera Monastery in the northwestern section of the city and Ganden Monastery in the southwestern area of the capital city Lhasa. 

However, the Kailash Range, considered to be one of the most sacred by Hindus. It is said to be 30 million years old, formed during the early stages of the formation of the Himalayan mountains. including the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN),  the pilgrimage to Kailash and the sacred Mansarovar lake is run exclusively by government bodies, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

Moreover, you must walk 53 km to go around Mount Kailash. This is also known as the centre of the universe in the Hindu Puranas and Buddhist texts, Astpaad in Jain texts and Yungdruk Gu Tseg. The highest point if this mountain is calles Polmapass. The circumference of Mansarovar Lake is about 30 km from Mount Kailash which is approximately 90 km. 

However, the lake freezes in the winters and melts only in spring. One can reach Kailash-Mansarovar via Dharchula, Tawaghat, Lipulekh Darma and Johar valleys from Tanakpur or Kathgodam. Similarly, it is around 100 km away from the Lipulekh Pass Mount Kailash. The Dharchula-Lipulekh road is an extension of the Pithoragarh-Tawaghat-Ghatiabagarh road. The road starts from Ghatiabagarh and terminates at Lipulekh Pass and the altitude on this road rises from 6,000 feet to 17,060 feet.
